Bonart magazine presents its latest monograph on Joan Miró
A review of the Mironian ecosystem and of the centres that promote and preserve his work
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Fundació Miró Barcelona, the magazine is publishing a special monograph that reviews the centres that preserve and disseminate Joan Miró’s work and legacy. The volume brings together contributions from renowned specialists on the artist’s trajectory, including Rosa Maria Malet, Antònia Maria Perelló, Elena Juncosa, Joan M. Minguet, Juan Manuel Bonet and Martina Millà, among others, offering a rigorous and up-to-date perspective on the role of Miró-related institutions.
The monograph will be presented at the Miró Mallorca Foundation, in an event that will include a welcome address by the Foundation’s director and a presentation by Ricard Planas Camps, founding CEO of Bonart. Afterwards, speakers Antònia Maria Perelló, David Barro, Josep Massot and Patricia Juncosa will offer different insights into the conservation, interpretation and dissemination of Miró’s work. The event will also feature an artistic action in the form of a Mironian video-performance, conceived as a contemporary interpretation of Joan Miró’s innovative and experimental spirit.
This monograph forms part of the magazine’s trajectory —founded in 1999— which over the past twenty-five years has become a benchmark space for the analysis and dissemination of contemporary art, with a constant commitment to fostering critical thinking and giving visibility to the artistic practices of our environment.
