2025 Pilar Juncosa Awards and Scholarships Ceremony
On Wednesday, October 15 at 7:30 pm, the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró in Mallorca will reaffirm its strong commitment to emerging artists with the presentation of the new 2025 awards and scholarships, totaling €48,000.
The Awards and Scholarships Ceremony will be presided over by the Mayor of Palma, Mr Jaime Martínez Llabrés, as host and president of the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró in Mallorca. The awards gala will be presented by journalist Irene Sala and will also be attended by the Deputy Mayor for Culture, Mr Javier Bonet, among other authorities from Ajuntament de Palma, the Govern de les Illes Balears and the Consell de Mallorca, as well as the trustees of the Foundation.
Program:
7:30 pm – Reception and welcome of gala guests
7:40 pm – Opening remarks and presentations
7:50 pm – Awards ceremony and project presentations begin
8:15 pm – Musical performance by the Mallorcan group “Negre”
8:20 pm – Continuation of awards ceremony and project presentations
8:45 pm – Second musical performance
9:00 pm – Closing of the event
In accordance with the wishes of Joan Miró and Pilar Juncosa, the Foundation aims to promote and disseminate contemporary creative values, assist young generations of artists in their training and encourage them in their commitment to innovation and sincere exploration of new creative paths.
It also aims to collaborate in the recognition of their creative and vital example through educational programmes and projects that bring contemporary art closer to society.
